Japanese Beetles

This week as I was watering my 2 hanging baskets in the front yard I noticed japanese beetles chewing my beautiful green leaves. The baskets that had been doing so well since I followed Gran-gran's fertilizing instructions were looking kinda of pitiful. I expressed my woes to my husband who gave me some sympathy this week but today he came through by going to the hardware store and picking me up some powerful bug killer. The magic potion is Malathion insect spray that takes only 4 teaspoons to a gallon of water and is supposed to kill pretty much everything but the plant according to the directions. The next few days will tell the tale of the plants.
